A straight forward installation procedure. This defines library and index locations, installs the routines, CGI and referenced objects into the web site.

EXCITE:

• Builds all configuration files from web pages.

• Runs the indexer from a web page and emails the results to the corpus owner.

• Automatically builds the query page against a corpus.

EXCITE is particularly good at large document libraries, i.e. over 20,000 documents.

EXCITE will return a "summary" of a document hit.
